Description
The wedding day of a Malay bride in the Cape is a time of careful attention to etiquette. She is represented by her father at the wedding ceremony at the Mosque, and keeps the day in state at her home where she receives her women friends. On this day she wears the traditional head-dress, the Medora, and often changes her gown as many as four times.
