Description
A single rose in a tin, seen during a visit to a workshop, inspired this study of contrasts. Among the mechanical implements of man's creation, a rose makes a determined effort to elevate the mind of the viewer above the belief that 'consciousness and will are wholly due to material agency.' Painted in South Africa.
